Use the Articles (databases) tab to search databases for (scholarly) articles
Use the Journals tab to search for E-Journals/Online journals specifically

Need a book or article not in print or online at UNT Libraries? Use Interlibrary Loan to borrow materials at other libraries while you are affiliated with UNT. Update as of March 2023: ILLiad has changed to Single Sign-On (SSO). All patrons should use their university EUID and password to access ILLiad.
Instructors (teaching faculty, teaching fellows & adjuncts) we have services for you too!
Library instruction: I would be happy to come to your class & library give research tips (short demos or full instruction). Just email me your syllabus and/or class name + time. You'll get your own course guide to share with students, too!
Course Reserves: Would you like to put your textbook, chapters, or articles on course reserves for students? You can place items on reserves. Items must follow reserves policies. Interlibrary Loan items are borrowed and not eligible.
1. Go to articles tab of Sociology subject guide
2. Click on SOCIndex
3. Click Choose Databases and add Academic Search Complete
4. Click on Advanced Search and add terms (usually start with just one or two and click "search" pending on topic
5.. User limters when applicable "Scholarly (Peer Review"), Full text (fully available online), date range (Note: may want older results for lit review, and when time, avoid full text for lit review when you have time to use Interlibrary Loan to borrow items NOT at UNT)
5. Optional: Go to page options and change to "detailed"
Note "select a field is default" so you can change that to Subject headings if you know terms and need to focus results
