With the fall semester in full swing, what better way to save your place in notebooks between study sessions than a personalized bookmark you can make yourself!

-------------------------------------------------

Materials

● 12 X12 in Cardstock

● 12 x 12 in Vinyl

-------------------------------------------------

1) First, get paper and vinyl in the color of your choice. You want to pick two colors that look nice together and have a good amount of contrast so it’s easier to see your design later.

2) Sign into your Cricut Design account and select a bookmark design press. If you are happy with the preset proportions, press make.

3) Place your cardstock on the green standard Cricut mat. Make sure that it’s smooth with no air bubbles!

4) Place your blade into the machine and make sure to set it to the right material. Align the mat, and press go!

5) After the Cricut does its thing, remove the excess paper and…tada! You have your bookmark, but now it’s time to decorate it!

6) Now, choose a design to add as stickers on your bookmark and press make. I chose this free dolphin design, which gives me Lisa Frank vibes. Don’t forget to make sure it’s a good size before you make it so that it fits on your bookmark!

7) Place the vinyl you chose earlier on the sticky mat. Make sure to set the Cricut to the vinyl setting, align the matt, and press go!

8) Once the machine is done cutting the vinyl, carefully peel off your design. You can choose to use some of our Cricut tools to make the process easier.

9) Place the stickers on the bookmark you made earlier and boom, you’re all done!

-------------------------------------------------

Now you have a super cool custom bookmark that you can say you made yourself and show off to all your friends! Come by The Spark Makerspace to show us your quick Cricut crafts!
