Electronic Books (E-Books)

  • These are full textbooks online, you can access them off campus with your EUID/password. Check your account status/reset password at ams.unt.edu Some e-books enable only one user to view the book at a time, and some allow multiple users.

Print Books

Discover library catalog search is accessible from the Books and More tab.

  • Tabs are available on the UNT library homepage
  • Library catalog items will also appear results for  "Search it All"
  • This page has selected boxes from the official Discover Catalog Library Guide
  • Access UNT Libraries: No library card needed!  Just use your UNT I.D. card to check out materials in person at UNT Libraries, and EUID and Password for UNT online items.

Course reserves
"The UNT Libraries holds and distributes course reading materials, including some textbooks, for students as requested by instructors." Note the course reserves will search the old library catalog, but you just need to call number of the book to take to the desk for checking out materials with your UNT ID.

There are account portals
  • UNT Library Account (Use your EUID login to view UNT Libraries checked out materials. )
  • ILLiad (use your EUID login and view items you are borrowing from other institutions)

Basic Search (Source: Discover Catalog Library guide)

There are multiple ways to conduct a basic search from Discover's homepage. You have the ability to use one or more of the techniques below to search the catalog:

  • Input keyword, title, authors/contributors, or subject queries into the search bar.
  • Utilize the "Look in: All Fields" dropdown to specify your search.
  • Use the facets to search for physical or online items, resource type (books, audio, videos, images, etc.), collection, and newly added items.
