Campus Support for Student Success

UNT has many campus resources for you in addition to UNT Libraries. This page highlights campus partners who provide resources and support student success.  UNT has also has a Welcome Center and UNT One Stop includes essential services. 

Mentoring / Peer support

Mentor and Mentoring opportunities at UNT 

- There are peer to peer programs and more. Requirements for enrollment as mentor or mentee depend on the program, so please consult their website and contact for that specific opportunity. Colleges may have their own programs as well. 

  • Example: ACCESS Mentoring: "The ACCESS (Advocates Creating Conversations that Engage and Support Students) Mentoring Program connects new students to the UNT community, encourages the use of campus resources and promotes four-year graduation." 

Transfer Center (New to UNT First Years)

Welcome, Transfer Students 

Did you know Transfer Students are considered first year students since they are new to UNT/it's their first year here? There is a community and center to help!

    • Campus Transit page has services for the UNT community. 

    • Night Flight (formerly E-Ride) for Fall & Spring. Call for a Night Flight ride at 940-565-3014. This is for intercampus drop off. To get to home you can use ride share (such as lyft, uber or use GoZone). 

  • DCTA (Denton County Transportation Authority)

    • Bus: “Fare Free” by showing a valid UNT ID.

    • A-Train: Fall 2025: Free with UNT ID. Pay as you go or apply for the University Pass Program discoun

    • GoZone On-Demand: GoZone is an on-demand rideshare service, powered by Via, that riders utilize for trips within, and sometimes between, designated zones in Denton County. The on-demand service uses a mobile app where passengers book their trips in real-time.
