Bruce Tater Collection, circa 1920-2007

The collection consists of approximately 15 boxes of papers, recordings of radio interviews, and other sound recordings, mostly in connection with Tater's career as host of jazz radio shows, principally at KJZY (Sonoma County, CA), and KETR (Commerce, TX).

The collection consists of three boxes of materials generated or collected by the Texas Chapter of the Music Library Association (TMLA).

Thesaurus Broadcast Transcription Disc Collection, 1935-1955

The collection consists of 81 broadcast transcription records released by NBC's Thesaurus subsidiary.

Augusta Read Thomas Collection, 1995-2020

The collection consists of two boxes of Augusta Read Thomas' graphic scores, sketches, and related materials. These materials were the subject of an online exhibition by J & J Lubrano Music Antiquarians in the fall of 2020.

Cyrus Trobbe Collection, 1891-1952

The collection consists of one box of personal papers and notated music from Cyrus Trobbe. These materials exist alongside about 200 items in the UNT Libraries Catalog which were also from Trobbe's collection.

The collection consists of three boxes of materials related to the life and career of T. Jervis Underwood.

UNT College of Music, 1940-2010

The collection consists of four boxes which primarily contain photos, but also photonegatives, a few slides, and newspaper clippings. Most photos are from around the time of the A Cappella Choir's State Department-sponsored tour of Europe.

University of North Texas Music Clippings and Press Releases, 1944-1980

The collection consists of 29 boxes of scrapbooks of newspaper clippings about the music program and UNT musicians from campus and local papers over several decades.

WFAA, WBAP, Popular Song, and Octavo Collections, 1890-1960

1890-1960

The collection consists of thousands of published ensemble arrangements and sheet music for popular songs from roughly 1890 through the 1950s. Many items are also stamped for WBAP sister station KGKO.

WNCN Memorabilia Collection, 1974-2009

1974-2009

The collection consists of three boxes of memorabilia from a classical music radio station in New York City, WNCN 104.3, and includes items reflecting efforts by its Listeners Guild to keep the station on the air in a classical format.

Alfred Wallenstein / WOR Radio Library Music Manuscripts, 1936-1953

1936-1953

The collection consists of approximately 100 boxes of music manuscripts out of a larger collection of over 700 boxes of sheet music used by the orchestra at radio station WOR. The manuscripts contain the work of numerous arrangers, including Sy Oliver, Joe Glover, Charles Maehl, Bill Challis, Ralph Barnhart, Agustin Borguno, and Lew Davies, along with the work of numerous copyists identifiable by their union stamps. The union stamps also correlate to approximate dates. Specific dates are noted where available. The collection contains both popular music and classical selections, including much of the series of J.S. Bach cantatas that the station broadcast, and other lesser known works.

Greg Waters Collection, 1960-1998

The collection consists of twelve boxes of audio and videocassettes, reel-to-reel tapes, scores, jazz arrangements, concert programs, clippings, photos, and miscellaneous correspondence.

Dennis Wakeling Collection, 1884-1990

1884-1990

The collection consists of six boxes, which primarily contain Wakeling's translations of libretti in multiple languages, most often written in music scores or copies of them. Also present are materials from collaboration with other scholars and artists, stage sketches, and ephemera.

Larry Walz Recordings, 1960-1980

1960-1980

The collection consists of one box of reel-to-reel tape recordings donated by pianist and former faculty member of the College of Music, Larry Walz. Most recordings are of Walz' own performances, but also include students and other performers.

Dennis Webb Collection, 1923-1951

1923-1951

The collection consists of one box of handwritten arrangements by Charles Bickley and Young V. Harper, along with various published arrangements. The materials provide insights into the repertory played by lesser-known, local bands during and after the Second World War. Bickley was a Houston-area musician, and Harper made his career in Tennessee.  Bickley and Harper met during their service in the European theater of the Second World War.

The collection consists of one box, containing the species counterpoint notebooks and one composition by Hans Weisse, compositions by and performance programs with Josef Knettel, and published compositions by Paul Kletzki.

The collection consists of two boxes of cassette recordings of the Richardson (TX) Symphony Orchestra, the Allen (TX) Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and other projects with which Xeros was involved.
