Posters and Prints at the UNT Libraries

The Sycamore Library in Sycamore Hall has a small selection of posters published by the United States government. Some of these posters are strictly utilitarian, while others are beautiful works of art.

The posters in our collection cover many subjects, such as health, the environment, natural resources, space, and the United States armed forces.

Many of these posters are indexed in the UNT Library Catalog. Enter a keyword or phrase, title, author, or subject, then select "Print Graphics" as the material type and "Government Documents" as the collection. If you need help finding a poster on any subject, ask at the Government Documents Service Desk.

Posters aren't normally allowed to be checked out, but if you need one for a class presentation, we may be able to arrange a special short-term loan.

The original World War I and II posters that were digitized by the UNT Libraries are on reserve in the Sycamore Library in Sycamore Hall. If you would like to view them, please visit our Service Desk or contact us to schedule an appointment.
