About Government Posters and Prints

The U.S. government has published thousands of posters and prints on a variety of subjects and for a variety of purposes. Some promote government initiatives or policies; others publicize important rules and regulations or explain scientific concepts. Some are strictly utilitarian, while others are collectible works of fine art, often produced by prominent graphic artists.

This guide lists several sources of reproductions and original government posters. It also lists several appraisers as well as sites that provide guidance on evaluating your posters and prints.

Please note that the UNT Libraries do not sell reproductions of posters, nor can we provide appraisals of posters or prints.
