How to Check Out Physical Books
You will need your physical student ID or your virtual library card (login to library.unt.edu on your mobile device) to check out any physical library materials!
Undergraduate students may check out books for 6 weeks at a time and may renew if there is no hold on the item by another patron.
Graduate students may check out books for the semester and may renew if there is no hold on the item by another patron.
You may request a book for pick-up through the item record and pick it up at the location you selected under the request section if available (example pictured below).
How to Check Out E-Books
Any patron may access an e-book in the UNT Discover Catalog at any time; however, access may be limited to a certain number of patrons viewing them at a time. You may find this in the notes section of an item's record (example pictured below).
- Single User Access = only one person at a time
- Multiple User Access = more than one person at a time, but there's a limit to simultaneous users
- Unlimited User Access = any number of persons at the same time
