How to Search for K-pop Albums

This tutorial teaches you how to use and get comfortable with the UNT Discover Catalog to find K-pop albums using various search methods.

How to Check Out K-pop Albums

You will need your physical student ID or your virtual library card (login to library.unt.edu on your mobile device) to check out any physical library materials!

You may check out a K-pop album for 7 days and renew once unless there is a hold on it by another patron.

K-pop albums include:

  • photobook
  • CD

You may request the album for pick up if that option is available in the item's record. If not, find and take note of the item's call number. Head to the 4th floor of Willis Library and ask the Soundbox (room 422) or the Music Service Desk for assistance.

(Note: if you request an album, you must pick it up at the Music Service Desk.)

How to Check Out K-pop Collectibles

You will need your physical student ID or your virtual library card (login to library.unt.edu on your mobile device) to check out any physical library materials!

You may check out K-pop collectibles for 2 hours at a time and you must view them in the Music Library. These items may not be renewed.

Collectibles include:

  • photocards
  • posters
  • stickers
  • etc.

You may not request the collectible items for pick up. Go into the Discover Catalog to find and take note of the item's call number. Head to the 4th floor of Willis Library and ask the Soundbox (room 422) or the Music Service Desk for assistance to view the materials.

Where Can I Find This Collection?

The K-pop collection is physically located in the Music Library. The Music Library is located on the 4th Floor of Willis which you can reach by taking any of the four staircases at the corners of the library or by taking the elevators. This collection is viewable in the Soundbox Music Technology Lab (room 422) during their open hours. If the Soundbox is not open, you may ask the Music Service Desk to retrieve an item for you if it's available.
