CHEM 3451 Quantitative Analysis

Resources to use for the Literature Search Report (bonus assignment) in CHEM 3451.

Welcome!

Welcome to the course guide for CHEM 3451! The sections in this guide introduce you to the resources you need to complete the bonus assignment, the Literature Search Report.

One of the main resources you'll be using is the database SciFinder-n. See the Find Articles tab to learn how to use SciFinder-n to find chemistry journal articles.

You may also want to consult toxicological information and government documents about the contaminant you'll be researching. See the Find MSDS and Toxicology, and Find Govt Info tabs for guidance.

The final tab, RefWorks and Citation Help, tells you where to find the ACS Style Guide, which you'll need to do correct citations for the Literature Search Report.
