Use identified industry codes to search library databases and the Internet for specific industry information.
The easiest way to find industry information is to figure out the classification codes associated with it first. You can do that by going to the following websites:
Both classification systems (NAICS & SIC) can be searched by keyword, so you don't need to know the code up front. With your code(s) in hand, you can then search library databases (and even the internet) and retrieve relevant information.

To find an industry profile, use the search bar to enter a NAICS code and click "Search." Make sure "Industry" is selected as the search type. Or, click the linked "industry profiles" or "industry essays" text below the "Global Company and Industry Intelligence" heading.

To find an industry report, search for a company that operates in that industry, then click the "Industry Details" tab. Access reports by clicking on the icon that looks like multiple pages of a report.
To find industry trends, use the "Advanced Search" to construct a query and enter a NAICS code in the "NAICS code" search box. Use "Publicationa date" to limit to results.
