This guide provides information and links to career resources and help for you to complete your course assignments.

How do I search for library books by keyword?

Go to the UNT Libraries homepage and click the "Books & More" tab. Then enter a keyword in the search box. The online catalog will return items that contain all of the keywords you enter.

Below is a record for a print book in the online catalog. Note the name of the library where the book is located, the book's call number, and whether the book is available.

Below is a record for an e-book in the online catalog. Click on "Connect to online resource" to view it. See "Notes" to determine if the e-book can be used by multiple people or one person at a time (Single User Access).

Revise your search if you aren't getting the results you want:

  • Too many results? Add more keywords to the search and/or use limiters, such as "Date".
  • Too few results? Remove keywords from the search and limiters, if applicable.
  • Helpful keywords to add - geographical locations (e.g., United States), time periods (e.g., 19th century).
  • Results still aren't relevant? Ask for help from Yvonne Dooley or our Ask Us service.
