Resources for those interested in LGBTQ Studies

Welcome!

Thank you for using the LGBTQ Studies Library Research Guide. I am Julie Leuzinger (pronouns: she, her, hers), your LGBTQ Studies Librarian. NOTE: While I have tried to use inclusive language in this guide, if you notice anything that could be improved, please don't hesitate to contact me with suggestions.

UNT's LGBTQ Studies program provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary examination of the diversity of global gender and sexual identities, communities, practices, and politics. Courses explore Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + identified (LGBTQ+) individuals; their families and communities; their cultures and subcultures; their histories, institutions, languages, and literatures; their economics and politics; modes of representation; and their complex relations to the culture and experience of a heterosexual majority.

LGBTQ Studies is an interdisciplinary field, so you may need to look at other Subject Guides to find specific resources on your topic (such as ArtEnglish, or Political Science).
