The University of North Texas Libraries are now a Funding Information Network (FIN) partner of Candid, formally known as the Foundation Center. The FIN is comprised of libraries, community foundations, NGOs, and nonprofit resource centers. FIN partners provide free access to the best and most comprehensive information available on foundation and corporate giving, feature Candid resources and fundraising research guidance, and provide workshops and programs for local nonprofits.
The Funding Information Network collection at UNT is located in the Sycamore Library in Sycamore Hall. The Candid (formerly Foundation Center) database, Foundation Directory Online (FDO) Professional is available to use while inside the Sycamore Library, and cannot be accessed remotely. A slightly pared down version of Foundation Directory Online, FDO Essential is available remotely to all users. All FDO Essential users will need to create an account and then initiate a "day pass" in order to access the database remotely. Click on the Candid Grant Databases tab to view more information about FDO access.
The Sycamore Library also houses a collection of print nonprofit resources, such as directories and guides on writing grant proposals.
Visitor Parking is available on campus in either garages or open lots. There are two parking garages on campus, the Union Circle Garage and the Highland Street Garage. Please see the visitor parking webpage for the most up to date information about parking options on campus. The routes from the Union Circle Garage and Highland Street Garages to the Sycamore Library (located in Sycamore Hall) are marked on the map in turquoise.
Residents of Denton County can check materials out from the UNT Libraries. Find more information about services and resources that are available to community users at -- https://www.library.unt.edu/community-visitors
