What is Google Books?
Google Books (books.google.com) works just like the Google search engine, but for books. You can search titles, keywords, phrases, etc. When Google finds a book with a match, you'll get a result.
Accessing books through Google Books
If a book is out of copyright (in the public domain) or the publisher has given Google permission, you will see a preview of the book and in some cases will be able to download a PDF of the book. Google Books also offers options to "Get Print Book," "Buy this Book" or "Find in a Library."
Where do the books come from?
Currently, Google connects readers with books in two ways: the Partner Program< and the Library Project.
