This guide is intended to help you understand the breadth of our Music Library's resources and to make the best use of them for your academic research about rock music. We hold many CDs, LPs, 78s, musical scores, books about music, and print journals dealing with rock, and we subscribe to important electronic resources such as streaming audio databases and databases for searching and accessing the contents of electronic journals.
Online Catalog
To look up recordings, books, and scores we have, you can do a basic search on our online catalog from the library homepage
http://www.library.unt.edu/
by clicking the "Books & More" tab to the left of the search box.
Although you can look up databases there, it is more efficient to search them by clicking the Databases tab to the left of the search box. Click the "Article Databases" and "Streaming Audio" Databases tabs above for more information about them.
You can customize your online catalog search in detail from our new Discover search interface:
https://discover.library.unt.edu/
A music-specific search interface from the previous version of our online catalog is also still online:
