Music Performed at Her Wedding

William Neil McKie, 1904-1984, the organist and master of the choristers at Westminster
Abbey, was director of music for the wedding. He composed a motet for the occasion, "We Wait for Thy Loving Kindness, O God."

Also performed:
Wedding anthem, "Blessed be the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ," by Samuel Sebastian Wesley, 1810-1876

Psalm 67, "God Be Merciful Unto Us and Bless Us," sung in a setting by Edward Cuthbert Bairstow, 1874-1946

Hymns, "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven," and "The Lord's My Shepherd," to the tune "Crimond"

The service started with a specially composted fanfare by Arnold Bax, 1883-1953, and finished with Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."
