Interlibrary Loan

Can't find your next read in our collection? Request the item you need through Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is available to all UNT faculty and staff and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. When you submit an Interlibrary Loan request, the UNT Libraries will borrow the book on your behalf from another library and it will be available for pickup at your preferred library service desk.

Most requests for physical books will be fulfilled within 2 to 3 weeks. Textbooks and course materials are not available through Interlibrary Loan.

To submit a request, visit the ILLiad Login and login using your EUID and password. To request a physical book, select "New Requests" from the navigation menu then select "Book". Fill out the required fields and any additional information that will help staff locate the book you need.

TexShare Card

If you would like borrowing privileges at other Texas libraries, you can apply for a TexShare card!

A TexShare card allows users borrowing privileges at other academic and public libraries that participate in the TexShare program. A TexShare card is a great option if you regularly visit libraries outside of UNT or you are unable to wait 2-3 weeks for an Interlibrary Loan request. TexShare cards can be issued to all UNT faculty and staff and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.

If you are not affiliated with UNT but would like borrowing privileges, you may be able to request a TexShare card from your local public library which you can use to apply for a UNT Courtesy Card.

To apply for a TexShare card in person, visit the Library Services Desk on the 1st floor of Willis Library with a government photo ID card.

To apply for a TexShare card online, email circ@unt.edu with your name, 8-digit ID number, and mailing address. The card will be mailed to your address on the next working day.
