A book reference is all of the information about a book you'll need to properly cite the book in a paper and then list it in the bibliography. This information includes at least the author, title, date of publication, publisher, publisher's location, and DOI or access link (if electronic). Ideally, the reference allows your readers to find the sources you cited. See the Citations and Style guide for details on proper citation.
Visit the RefWorks guide to find out how to set up your RefWorks account and create folders to organize your saved references. Once you have an account, you can directly export book citations from the Discover catalog to your RefWorks account.
Do a search from the Books & More tab of the Start Your Research section on the library homepage. Once you identify a book you want to explore, click on its title and look at its catalog record. On the left of the screen, you'll see a list of options. Select Add to RefWorks to export the book's reference to your account.
You'll be prompted to log into RefWorks if you're not in your account already. The reference will appear in your Last Imported folder.
