Is Discover replacing the previous catalog?
Slowly, yes. But at the current time, not completely. Discover is a better tool for most normal search queries allowing you to filter your search with a variety of tools that did not exist before. However, we have not replaced the following parts of the catalog:
- Account management features (logging in/renewing your materials)
- Course Reserves
While Discover is intended to become your primary search system for the catalog, the older system will continue to exist for the foreseeable future.
Is there an advanced search option?
Yes, There is an advanced search option that will allow you to use basic boolean operators.
Is the catalog still accessible through the "Books & More" tab?
The catalog is still accessible through the "Books & More" tab as it previously was.
Will I need to log in to access the Libraries' resources and materials?
You will need your EUID and password to access databases, journals, place holds, request Interlibrary Loans, view your library account, etc.
