In addition to SciFinder-n, there are two additional databases useful for chemistry research. They resemble SciFinder-n in that they contain little or no full text articles themselves, but they link you to the electronic journals if the library subscribes to them.
Journal packages are good for keeping up with the literature in particular journals relevant to your research. But this is not where you start a literature search because very few journals are included. Start with SciFinder, Web of Science, or another database to search over 1000s of journals, and you will be linked to the journal packages.
