Policy, Policy Analysis, and Policy Research: What's the difference?

What is Policy?

The CDC defines policy as "a law, regulation, procedure, administrative action, incentive, or voluntary practice of governments and other institutions. Policy decisions are frequently reflected in resource allocations."

Policy Research vs. Policy Analysis

Policy research shows the effects of policy where policy analysis looks at the problems of policy or the examination of potential policy.
