Not Your High School Science Class

Without doubt, college science courses are going to cover more material and be more demanding than your high school science classes. Fortunately, there are lots of resources at UNT and the UNT Libraries to help you make the adjustment. UNT has many services to help you succeed in all your courses. You probably heard about them about at orientation, but here's a refresher list.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program
The SI Program at the Learning Center provides tutors for BIOL 1710. Talk to your instructor to find out the tutors' study session and office hours for your section.
Online Tutoring
The Learning Center also provides an Online Tutoring Program, which includes biology tutoring up to the 3000 course level. Make an appointment or drop in online for a chat.
Support Programs
Support programs at the Learning Center include "Learning 101" and "Speed Reading."
UNT Writing Lab
Need help with your writing fundamentals or doing reference lists? You can drop in or make an appointment with the staff at the Writing Lab for assistance.
