This guide is intended to help you use the UNT Music Library
to find printed music for viola, books about the viola, journals
devoted to the viola, and more.
We have subscription databases such as Naxos Music Library and Classical Music Library
which have streaming audio of viola music. You can access them by clicking on the Databases tab on the library homepage; library.unt.edu and entering the name of the database you want.
Here are call numbers that will show you good areas to browse for viola music. The UNT Libraries use the Library of Congress system to classify our collections. Classifying puts like things together on the shelves. Call numbers beginning with M stand for music scores.
