Preparing Your Printed Program: Finding Accurate Information
The printed program for your concert or recital is a very important document. Well in advance of your program, you are responsible for providing accurate information to the program preparer that includes:
The names, birth, and death dates of all of the composers of the music;
the titles and dates of composition of all of the pieces of music that you will perform.
This may sound simple, but there can be many unexpected complexities to getting all of this information right. This guide offers suggestions for finding correct information for various genres of music.
If you need help with your searches, the music reference librarian and other Music Library personnel will be glad to help you.
