A personal interview should be referenced as a parenthetical citation. For example: (J. Smith, personal communication, May 17, 2008). If you would like to include a personal interview as part of your APA reference list, then include the interviewee, the date of the interview, and the type of interview.
How do you cite a verbally in a speech?
Remember to include the following when giving an oral citation: the title, author, date and the author's credentials or title of publication. You can use key words to develop the phrasing necessary for oral citations, such as: According to. Explains.

For every in-text citation in your paper, there must be a corresponding entry in your reference list. APA in-text citation style uses the author's last name and the year of publication, for example: (Field, 2005). Synthesizing is showing how the information found in your research, and your own ideas, fit together. It is not summarizing information.
Make sure you organize your information to see the relationships between your sources. You can use a table. Your annotated bibliography exercise is a great way to organize your information. Remember to write paragraphs with topic sentences.
