How to use RefWorks and format an annotated bibliography with it.

Exporting References from EBSCOhost Databases

1. On the library homepage, select an EBSCOhost database from the Databases tab in the blue search box.

2. Do a search with keywords about your topic. In this example, the topic is "the impact of climate change on agriculture." On the results screen, click on the titles of the articles of interest to you.

3. If you decide you want to export the reference to RefWorks, then click on the Export icon to the right of the article screen.

4. On the next screen, select Direct Export to RefWorks and click on the Save button.

5. Select export to ProQuest RefWorks, the blue icon on the right.

6. Log into RefWorks if you haven't already. 

7. The reference should show up in the Last Imported Folder of your RefWorks account.

Exporting References from Google Scholar

1. Start your topic search with a phrase or keywords at scholar.google.com. In this example, the topic is "the impact of climate change on agriculture." 

2. Identify an article of interest to you and click on the Cite icon (quotation marks).

3. In the Cite window, select the RefWorks option at the bottom right of the frame.

4. Select export to ProQuest RefWorks, the blue icon on the right.

5. Log into RefWorks if you haven't already.

6. The reference should show up in the Last Imported Folder of your RefWorks account.
