Sycamore Library Overview

Sycamore Library 

Sycamore Library is one of the four UNT branch libraries that offers a range of services!

  • Services Desk - Check out course reserves, laptops, calculators, Expo markers, headphones, a lab coat, and more! 
  • Juvenile Collections - Over 100,000 books; from non-fiction to fiction including Easy Reader books, picture books, and chapter books.
  • Educational Kits - Over 40 kits ranging in a variety of topics for children of all ages, educators, education majors, etc.
  • Curriculum Materials - Textbooks, instructional materials, and instructional kits for all grade levels. 
  • U.S. Government Docs, State Docs, Maps, Political Posters - Includes physical items, digital collections, archives, and more!
  • Study Spaces - Private carrels, tables, lounge areas, bean bags, a computer lab, a desk bike, reservable meeting rooms, and one Family Workstation. 
  • Kids Activity Kits - Two Kids Activity Kits are available at the 1st Floor Services Desk: Fairytale Kit (ages 4-9) and Colors and Shape Kit (ages 1-4).
  • Grab & Go's - Pick up a Grab & Go for your child to do fun crafts and activities--all supplies included! 

Sycamore Library also has a community supply cabinet, a light map table, destress areas with coloring and puzzles, interactive book displays, and more! 

Family Area

Available on the first floor of Sycamore Library in the Commons Area, one Family Workstation is available for student-parents and their children. Family Workstations are a collaborative desk for both parents and their children on a first-come, first-served basis. More Family Workstations can also be found on the first floor of Willis Library.

                                                                                                   

Books for Kids

UNT Libraries has over 10,000 Juvenile Books. From classic children's books to young adult fiction. You can request these for pickup through the catalog.
