Welcome to the guide for World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. This guide is intended to help you learn about the many library resources available for the study of world languages. Please note: Spanish is now a separate department, but this guide includes resources about it.

The UNT Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures currently offers courses in ten languages. The library holds materials in all of them. However, we do not have specific subscription databases for each one. Instead, we have multilingual and multidisciplinary databases which link to full text of articles written in and about those languages and to information about the literatures and cultures of countries in which they are spoken. This guide is intended to provide an introduction to the databases and other important resources of possible relevance to study and research concerning those languages.
