BIOL 4005/5005: Behavioral Ecology

Library resources for the students of the Behavioral Ecology course.

Welcome to the UNT Libraries

Hello students of BIOL 4005/5005!

I'm Erin O'Toole, subject librarian for Biological Sciences and all other departments in the College of Science. This guide introduces you to resources at the library that will help you with this course and others in the future. Please feel free to contact me with your questions and comments anytime at Good luck in your fall semester!

Finding Articles about Behavioral Ecology

Below are recommended databases for finding articles about topics in behavioral ecology.

The videos below will teach you how to start searches in journal article databases. The first video, "Boolean Operators" (from the University of Aukland Library), applies to all databases at the UNT library.

"Web of Science - Search Tips" will get you started in the database, Web of Science. You don't need to use all of the tips, but definitely use the Boolean operators. Within Web of Science, select the Web of Science Core Collection before starting your search. Remember to follow the green FIND IT buttons to locate the full-text article.

From these library guides, you'll learn how to be a better researcher when using library materials.
