Google Scholar Set Up

When using Google Scholar, it is always a good idea to set up your affiliation with the University of North Texas for a more seamless research experience. It will take you directly to the article you want to read with no paywalls. Here is how to set up that affiliation:

1) Sign in or create an account. Click the Sign In button at the top right (circled in red below).

2) When you are signed in, click the three horizontal bars on the far left next to the Google Scholar logo (circled in red below).

3) Then click the cog icon to view Settings (circled in red below)..

4) Then click Library links (circled in red below).

5) Search for University of North Texas (circled in red below) and click the blue magnifying glass icon to the right of the search box. 

6) Use the check boxes to select affiliates (circled in red below).

7) Conduct your search, in this example race and gender and sexual orientation. You can see that we have access to the article through our databases (circled in red below). Click the article title to go directly to the UNT Libraries electronic resources.
