Remeber to take a deep breath and check out our checklist to make sure you are ready to take on the LIS EOPE!
Try to stay organized. Writing three papers in a week won’t feel so bad if you already have resources saved from your classes.
Stretch it out. Get up, take a deep breath and stretch every now and then to keep the blood flowing and help keep you energized.
Focus on the positive. It may be hard, but it’s only one week of your life. You can do it.
Keep hydrated. Make sure you are drinking plenty liquids, (not the boozy kind) and have a snack every so often. Working while hungry isn’t a good idea.
Pet your pet or talk to a friend. Every now and then you need some support and pets, (and most friends) are willing to hear out your frustrations to get them off your chest.
Remember, you have made it this far and the end is in sight. Be prepared and stay focused and try your best!
Hello and welcome to the LIS EOP guide. This will serve as a guide to assist you in successfully navigating the UNT Libraries and preparing for you upcoming exam.
LIS End of Program Examination (LIS EOP) is the culminating experience offered to all SLIS Students and is designed to encapsulate the knowledge developed through your educational career and library science program.
This page is a list of useful links, recommended databases, both for library and information science, and other links designed to help you navigate the myriad sources available to you through UNT Libraries.
As soon as the Blackboard class page opens, you will be able to see the End of Program Examination Guide and Essay Submission Instruction packet which has formatting tips and templates.
The primary preparation you can do is to review the tutorials and handouts on the LIS LibGuide main page, the LIS APA and RefWorks tabs, and the LIS EOP LibGuide. There are handouts available, an LIS EOP checklist, and APA Checklist, and even Vimeo files of previous workshops you may listen to if you prefer audio files.
