Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society

"UNT's chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, a national theatre honor society, is dedicated to furthering knowledge and praising excellence in theatre arts within the community. We will strive to promote and support theatre within the community as well as encourage the public to give back through charity events, fundraisers, and community service."

Center Stage Musical Theater

"We perform songs specific to the Musical Theatre vocal style with accompanying choreography and scenes and live musical orchestration. We are open to students of any major and perform musical numbers and/or small scenes to combine acting, singing, and dancing, with a need for student directors, music directors, choreographers, and opportunities for student composers and instrumentalists."

Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society

"Chi Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society stands to develop dance and honor outstanding students by further strengthening and preparing students in the field of dance with service and networking throughout the community."

Mean Dynamics

"Mean Dynamics strives to fulfill the passions of musical UNT students who want to showcase their talents through A Cappella music. We value friendship, fulfilling memories, and creative musicality. We strive to exemplify the true spirit of MEAN GREEN through our performances and sense of community!"

North Texas Emeralds

"The North Texas Emeralds is the first all-genre student led dance organization at the University of North Texas. We perform at various campus events (Yell Like Hell during Homecoming, talent shows, showcases, our own Spring Show, etc). Many of us come from drill team or competition studio backgrounds, but we welcome dancers from any background. While we are a performance based organization, we also participate in many social activities and focus on growing ourselves as dancers and as a family. We are also involved in fundraising for our philanthropy Denton County Friends of the Family."

Performance Interest Group

"The Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Texas is home to the Performance Interest Group. Affectionately known as the PIGs, the members of the Performance Interest Group are students and faculty members interested in performance, either through participation or evaluation--though, frankly, we have some members who, in the words of Chauncey Gardener, just "like to watch." PIGs love to get together to create performances, discuss performances, or just enjoy each other's efforts and company. Our primary forum for these activities is the Texts in Performance Series. Each long semester the series spotlights work from the Performance Studies emphasis within the Department of Communication Studies, as well as other creative projects that fall within the "performance" genre."
