Examples of widely-celebrated Asian ceremonies and commemorative days will have resources to explore.Content will also be found on the linked on National Asian Pacific Heritage Month guide page. It is not an all-inclusive list but will note UNT campus related specifically to campus events to learn more, when shared.Suggestions and collaboration is always welcome. Persian celebration and commemorative days (Dec 2020-2021)

Some Persian commemorative days and holidays such as Yalda (December) and Nowruz/Nooroz (March)  will be listed here.

  • Dec 21, 2020 Yalda (early evening) event
    Presented by Sociology Teaching Fellow Farinaz, and former IRSA president Nastaran. Facilitated by Sociology Librarian, Lilly Ramin. Event in English with Farsi poetry reading.

Feel free to reach out to the UNT Iranian Student Association get involved or attend events (typically later at night when Yalda is celebrated).
