Course Reserve Materials and Textbooks

Professors often place materials on reserve for use in specific courses. Though circulation of most physical textbooks is suspended, many materials have been scanned and provided as electronic reserves and some reference materials on reserve are now available for an extended checkout. Search your course below to discover reserve materials and textbooks.

Search by Course Code

Hint: You can search using either a complete or a partial course code. ANTH 4500 matches a specific course; ANTH lets you browse all Anthropology courses.

Accessing your Online Course Reserves
  1. Search by either the Course Code or your instructor's name.

  2. Once in the Record, you will see a list of textbooks for that class. Look for textbooks that say *electronic copy* under Format.

  3. Click on the title of the book to view the textbook.

  4. Log in with your EUID and Password.

  5. Enter the Course Password. This should be provided by your professors, sometimes through the syllabus or an email. Please reach out to your professor if you do not know the course password. Unfortunately, the library does not have access to this information.

Physical Course Reserves

We are unable to provide access to physical reserve collections at this time. This includes library use only materials such as textbooks and equipment such as headphones. You may request a copy of a chapter from a textbook on Course Reserve for e-delivery by logging into your ILLiad account.

UNT Access and Affordability

The library provides electronic access to course materials from its collections within the boundaries of Fair Use. At this time many publishers are also providing access to online text and course tools. UNT maintains a list of available resources on the Publisher Resources page.

Instructor Reserves Request

Due to COVID-19 related health concerns and restrictions, the UNT Libraries Course Reserves Service is limited to electronic resources only. Instructors may submit course reserves request using the Instructor Reserves Request Form.
