CHEM 5010: Graduate Teaching and Research, Fall 2020: Introduction

Library research instruction and assignments for graduate students in chemistry.

Welcome!

Welcome to the course guide for CHEM 5010! This guide will introduce you to the many useful library resources and services for your chemistry research. For additional information about Chemistry resources, please visit the Chemistry Subject Guide.

I'm Erin O'Toole, the librarian for the Chemistry Department. Always feel free to contact me when you have any questions about the library.

Your Library Assignments

I will be visiting your class via Zoom on October 12, 14, and 19, 2020. Before each class, please review the information on the corresponding tabs. During the class, I'll do a short presentation, and then you'll have the rest of the time to work on your assignment for that day. I'll be available to answer your questions and help with roadblocks.

Each assignment will be posted shortly before class in Canvas. Your library assignments are due before the beginning of the next class period and you'll be uploading them into Canvas. See the tabs for the due date for each assignment.

Evaluation

Please take five minutes to complete this evaluation, and tell us whether the library instruction for your class and this course guide have been helpful. Thanks!
