Deputy Voter Registrars in the Library

Bobby Griffith, Jenne Turner, Yvonne Dooley and Robbie Sittel are all Deputy Voter Registrars in the Eagle Commons Library (ECL) in Sycamore Hall. At the Willis Library, Julie Leuzinger is deputized.

What does this mean? It means we can accept their application to become a registered voter in Denton County and expedite its receipt to the Denton County Election Office. If none of us are around, applicants can drop the card in the mail… it’s addressed with postage paid.

Voter Registration Events on Campus

The ECL is hosting voter registration events at the Willis Library on September 18 and October 3, 11:00a.m. -4:00p.m.

National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, September 25. Julie Leuzinger has organized an events in Kerr Hall Lobby from 10:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. ECL will be at Bruce Hall noon to 2:00p.m..

A Few Dates to Remember

Last Day to register to vote: Tuesday, October 9,2018

Early Voting: Monday, Oct 22 to Friday, Nov 2, 2018

General Election: November 6, 2018 (polls open 7:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.)

These sites will help verify if someone is registered, find polling place, locate sample ballots and inform about candidates

www.VoteDenton.com – site of the Denton Elections Administration. Verify voter registration (in Denton County) and find sample ballots.

www.votetexas.gov – all kinds of information about voting in Texas as well as state-wide voter registration verification.

www.vote411.org or www.lwvdenton.org – find information about candidates, sample ballots and voting locations.

We’ve set up an information table at the ECL with ride share fliers, information about early voting and other helpful things to remember when going to vote.
