JOUR 3321: News Reporting, Writing and Editing: Books

How to Find Journalism Books

Journalism materials in the Library are shelved by Library of Congress call number and are arranged by subject area.

You can perform a subject search in the box below by selecting Subject from the drop-down menu and entering journalism in the search field to find general works on this topic.  You can click on the subject links in the catalog or use the red Library of Congress Subject Headings books available on each floor of the library to identify more specific subject headings to use in the library catalog.

When you have located the materials you are interested in, write down the call number and title and check the Call Number Location Guide to find the book on the shelves, or ask a staff person at the Library Services Desk for help.

What is Remote Storage?

Over 400,000 volumes are shelved in a separate, off-campus location in the remote storage section of the Library Annex.  Since these are closed-stacks, you will need to visit the Library Materials Delivery Service page or click on the "Remote Storage (click to request)" link in book's location field.

Complete the form to have the book delivered to the library of your choice.  Requests are typically filled the next business day.
