Share References With Others

Here's how to use share your references with others at UNT:

  1. Log into your RefWorks account and select the Organize and Share Folders tab
  2. Locate the folder you want to share and hover over the Share icon to the right of the folder name
  3. Select Shared Folder Options to determine the permissions the recipients will have
  4. Select Limitations and check whether you will allow recipients to export, print, make bibliographies, post comments on references and more
  5. Explore the other options available and select the ones you want
  6. Click on the Save button to save the options
  7. Hover over the Share icon again and select Send Email
  8. Enter the email address of the person you want to receive access to your references. The body contains a link to the folder of references.
  9. Send the email and now you're sharing reference with your colleagues

What Is RefShare?

RefShare gives you the ability to share your entire RefWorks database or folders with others, whether at UNT or not. You can decide whether you'll give others the permissions to export, print, or make bibliographies from your references. This is the perfect way to share information for group projects, team teaching, and other collaborations.
