Trans Accessible Libraries Initiative

This guide provides practical information and library resources for transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming students, and those interested in trans studies.

Religion and Spirituality Resources

This page provides access to:

  • A selection of current affirming religion and spirituality e-books (if you would like to find older e-books, or books in print, please use the UNT Libraries Catalog),
  • The Religion and Philosophy Collection database to locate current academic research in religious studies, and
  • A selection of affirming web resources for Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim individuals.

If you need help with your research, please contact the Women's and Gender Studies/LGBTQ Studies Librarian, Julie Leuzinger (she/her/hers).

NOTE: While we have tried to use inclusive language in this guide, if you notice anything that could be improved, please don't hesitate to contact us with suggestions.

Religion Databases

You can use the database, Religion and Philosophy Collection to locate current research in religious studies. For example, enter transgender and Judaism (highlighted in yellow below) in the text box and click the Search button (circled in red below).
