Posters and Prints at the UNT Libraries

The Sycamore Library in Sycamore Hall has a selection of posters published by the United States government. Some of these posters are strictly utilitarian, while others are beautiful works of art.

Browse a list of posters in the government documents collection at Sycamore.

The posters in our collection cover many subjects, such as health, the environment, natural resources, space, and the United States armed forces.

Many of these posters can be found using the Advanced Search function in Discover: the UNT Libraries Catalog of Books and More:

  1. Enter a keyword or phrase in All Fields, or enter a title, author, or subject in the appropriate field
  2. Enter the word "Posters" in the Genre field
  3. Select "Government Documents" for the Collection
  4. Click the Search button. If you need help finding a poster on any subject, ask at the Sycamore Library Service Desk.

Posters aren't normally allowed to be checked out, but if you need one for a class presentation, we may be able to arrange a special short-term loan. Inquire at the Sycamore Library Service Desk.

The original World War I and II posters that were digitized by the UNT Libraries are on reserve in the Sycamore Library in Sycamore Hall. If you would like to view them, please visit the Sycamore Library Service Desk or contact us to schedule an appointment.
